Friends of Schenley Park

Our Mission

Friends of Schenley Park is a volunteer community organization whose mission is to support, protect, and advocate for Schenley Park, and to engage others to do the same.

The organization recognizes that there are many ongoing issues with the park including maintenance, preservation of ecosystems, improvement and restoration of structures and landscapes, deer management, care of recreational facilities, vehicle traffic, parking, and more.

Friends of Schenley Park aims to engage with the City of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, Phipps Conservatory, Tree Pittsburgh, the Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition, Greenfield Community Association, Oakland Planning and Development Corporation, other community representatives and other organizations that manage events or initiatives in the park. Our thanks to everyone who works to protect and preserve Schenley Park.
